The How to Eat program*, a unique step-by-step approach to relearning joyful and effective eating, is taught by Pam Estes, MS RD CD, a certified graduate of Ellyn Satter’s Resolving the Weight Dilemma intensive training.

Graduates of the program leave the dieting mentality behind. They reconnect with how their bodies feel hunger, appetite, and fullness and learn to trust these signals to guide their eating. As a result, they are able to experience what true satisfaction and eating enjoyment feel like. They know when they have had enough and are ready to stop eating – even with foods previously considered “off limits.” Their constant thinking about food goes away and they discover that foods they would previously have eaten to excess remain in their refrigerators and pantries until they are ready to eat them.

There is a great sense of freedom in being able to trust your body. If you are one of the many who struggle with eating, weight and feelings about both (or even if you aren’t!), we invite you to view these videos. Sit back and experience a different perspective.

*The How to Eat program teaches competent eating (ecSatter, the Satter Eating Competence Model, described in Satter’s book, Secrets of Feeding a Healthy Family, 2008).
